We certainly do not want to cry wolf all the time and make
everything seem an urgent matter of prayer, but the following
concern is almost certainly worthy of prayer and action, and to
do it now! At the Vancouver Pastors' Prayer Fellowship this
morning with 26 present, we decided on a call to prayer with
fasting over the next few days because of the seriousness of the
issue and the shortage of time. Please join with us across the
nation.

BILL C-250
This bill is set to be before Parliament on Friday
for the report stage and the third (and final) reading. If it
becomes law it could have far reaching effects for Christians.
The Canada Family Action Coalition warns that "Freedom of
expression, freedom of speech, freedom of religion and even
freedom of conscience are in grave danger." CFAC also warns that
if Bill C-250 is passed, voicing a position against homosexual
behaviour will result in criminal convictions. Focus on the
Family Canada states "many Christians worry this could
criminalize religiously motivated criticisms of homosexuality"
and is "urging all Canadians to contact their MP as soon as
possible".
For the first reading only 8 members out of 301 MP's turned out
to vote and it passed. For the second reading only 15 members
turned up to vote, 4 abstained, only 11 voted and it passed
again. The Justice Committee were not allowed to vote on the
bill because of a filibuster by the author of the bill, Svend
Robinson. How many members will stay on to Friday afternoon to

RESPONSIBLY BEFORE YOU IN THE CONSIDERATION OF THIS BILL. HELP
THEM TO BE TRUE TO YOUR WORD AND NOT TO RESPOND TO UNGODLY
PRESSURE AS THEY SPEAK AND VOTE. WE ASK THAT THE MORAL
FOUNDATIONS OF CANADA WOULD NOT BE DESTROYED, INSTEAD WE ASK FOR
A MIGHTY MOVE OF GOD AND A GREAT HARVEST OF NEW BELIEVERS TO
GIVE YOU PRAISE FROM COAST TO COAST TO COAST.
